Dieffenbachia

Dieffenbachia or Dumb Cane

This first picture shows off a Dieffenbachia Camille that could mislead its real identification because its leaves do not follow the same pattern as the most common of all the Dieffenbachia, as you can see some of them below in this collection. Note that also this very particular species is as toxic or venomous as the others, especially towards children and pets. This species is very common as house plant because its rapid growing speed and easiness of maintenance. In this photograph we can appeciate a subtle different constrasting the most popular Dumb Cane, showing its leaves with a clear green instead the grainy patterns, and known as Camilla.

Differently to the most common type of this Dieffenbachia species, this variety displays its medium to great leaves and having a regular solid white central area with a well-defined border in green hue.

This is a Dieffenbachia with medium sized leaves. Also named dieffenbachia seguine, this plant this with thick leaves and on it its characteristic pattern is the most easy to maintain, well-adapted in indoors evironments and spreading quite quickly.

The setting of this dieffenbachia amoena helps us to grasp how large its leaves are, and showing clearly how this plant could take space indoors. Again, watch out about the toxicity of their leaves if they are accidentally chewed by toddlers or pets.
