Philodendron Xanadu - Winterbourn

To the species philodendendron belongs a very huge collection of subspecies of decorative and well-known ornamental plants. This Brazilian native one, xanadu, is a relative easy to grow indoors and not hard to take care of, such as this potted plant that was cultivated inside an apartment in São Paulo city.
An expanded way of growing of this type of philodendron that make it prone to large spaces, isolated as a corner of a room, or without traffic of persons nearby. These plants are considered poisonous and should be kept away from pets and toddlers.

To show in a visually way how this sort of philodendron expands and needs some cosiderable surface to fit properly and how much space is needed. This image was made indoors with some usual furniture to help you to make comparisons and notions of scale.

Here we have a Xanadu or winterbourn house plant in its initial stage of growing and we can notice a very recent pair of shiny leathery leaves with a more clear tone of green. While growing in size its leaf lobes are more prominent and marked as pictured here in the two more older leaves.
